Aihan Zhang
BSc, PhD
Postdoctoral researcher
Research Summary
Develops bioinformatics pipelines integrating genomic, transcriptomic and immunopeptidomic datasets to identify candidate neoantigens for preventive cancer vaccines. Research focuses on characterising naturally occurring anti-tumour immunity in precancerous lesions through multi-omics analyses, advancing translational strategies for cancer interception and prevention.
Biography
Dr Zhang obtained a PhD in 2024 from the Institute of Healthy Ageing at University College London (UCL), where the research focused on ageing-related signalling pathways and their roles in age-associated diseases and cancer. The work involved gene expression analysis, identification of therapeutic targets, and the development of liposome-based vaccine delivery systems aimed at modulating key molecular pathways involved in tumourigenesis and ageing.
